Astragaloside IV (from Astragalus membranaceus Root Extract)
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the herb, Astragalus, is used for longevity, to invigorate vital energy (qi), and to strengthen bodily resistance to disease. Astragaloside IV - a saponin of this powerful herb - has shown benefits in reversing cell damage and activating telomerase, which addresses telomere shortening and slows down cellular aging. Telomeres are the protective ends of chromosomes that slowly shorten and wear out each time cell division occurs in the body, a process central to human aging. 21
Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) Root Extract (99% Resveratrol)
Native to Japan and China, Japanese knotweed is an excellent source of resveratrol that’s much more bioavailable than resveratrol found in red wine. Japanese knotweed contains high concentrations of trans-resveratrol, the active form of the compound that is best absorbed and utilized by the body. Research shows trans-resveratrol has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties, and helps to maintain healthy cardiovascular function, protect against cell damage and neurodegenerative diseases.11
Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ)
In humans, PQQ is typically found in miniscule concentrations. PQQ activates a number of vital cell signaling pathways involved in protecting against cellular aging. These synergistic effects have been shown to provide significant subcellular anti-aging benefits and enhance longevity. It also protects cells from oxidative damage that are associated with aging. PQQ promotes cognitive health and memory by combatting mitochondrial dysfunction, and protecting neurons from oxidative damage.17
Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone)
Test-tube and animal studies show that CoQ10 acts as a protective antioxidant in mitochondrial membranes and may prevent cognitive decline. It also improves arterial elasticity, and offers protection from hardening of the arteries that leads to heart disease.12
B Vitamin Complex
A 2014 meta-analysis of 16 studies found that “higher consumption of fruit and vegetables is associated with a lower risk of all-cause mortality, particularly cardiovascular mortality.” However, as low as 10% of the U.S. population eats a sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables per day, putting many people at risk of micronutrient deficiency, especially B vitamin and magnesium deficiencies.1
Magnesium (as TRAACS® Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate)
Magnesium is a ubiquitous cofactor necessary for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body. Rosmarinus officinalis Leaf Extract
The leaves of Rosmarinus officinalis contain several of the most potent AMPK activators found in nature, including rosmarinic acid and carnosic acid. In turn, the constituents of Rosmarinus officinalis have beneficial downstream effects on cellular energetic and disease prevention.7
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii) Bark Extract
While eating cinnamon is generally a good thing, the amount of bioactive constituents present in food/cooking is far below the amount necessary to produce medicinal actions. Hence, TruDNA is formulated with standardized cinnamon bark extract. A recent meta-analysis of 16 studies concluded that cinnamon bark extract - a dense source of cinnamaldehyde - has numerous beneficial properties as a natural therapeutic agent for diabetes and metabolic syndrome.7, 8
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA)
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a naturally occurring fatty acid that the body produces in relatively small amounts and plays an important role in converting nutrients into chemical energy for cells. For example, supplementing with ALA replenishes levels of mitochondria citric acid cycle enzymes and electron transport chain complexes that decline with age. ALA is also a potent antioxidant that appears to modulate gene transcription to improve cellular stress resistance.13, 14
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC)
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine. NAC is a modified form of the amino acid L-cysteine that is readily absorbed intact in the upper gastrointestinal tract, allowing it to enter the liver and replenish intracellular levels of glutathione - one of the most important antioxidants in the body. Maintaining ample availability of glutathione is key to protecting cells from potentially harmful molecules.16
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) Root Extract

Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex (from Citrus aurantium Fruit Extract)
The bioflavonoids in Citrus aurantium are unique in that they demonstrable metabolic and cardiovascular benefits. For example, research has shown that naringin and naringenin improve nutrient partitioning, while naringenin and hesperidin promote healthy adiponectin levels.23, 24

Sophorae japonica Flower Extract (95% Rutin)
Sophorae japonica is a tree speices in the pea (Fabaceae) family and natively found in China and Korea. The tree bears purple flowers that are a considered medicinal due to their rich content of rutin, a flavonol that is suggested to have antioxidant, neuroprotective, and cardioprotective actions in the body.26
Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) Leaf Extract (98% Polyphenols, 50% EGCG)
Green tea leaves are arguably Mother Nature’s most robust source of polyphenol antioxidants, notably catechins. Chronic oxidative stress leads to systemic inflammation and even DNA damage.
